Not getting emails from various businesses that should not be blocked

I am not getting emails from businesses like rental car companies and various legitimate bills. I do get plenty of spam and other emails, but I randomly don't get ones I need. They are not in junk, my email box is not full, I don't have rules that would block them, and they are not in my deleted items.

Hi John, I understand the frustration this issue has caused.

Microsoft has tightened security measures due to a high volume of spam, which could lead to some business emails being missing. This is because the necessary security protocols have not been implemented to ensure email delivery to the sender.

I wish I had an ideal answer for you, but the exact sender needs to contact Microsoft to implement specific policies. Did you ask the sender if they know about it?

Please test using adding a domain in a safe sender list and check.

Open Outlook on the web at https://outlook.office.com.
Select Settings (gear icon) > Mail > Junk email.
Under Safe senders and domains, select Add.
Enter the domain in the format @contoso.com (replace contoso.com with the actual domain).
Select Save.
Ask the sender to resend the email after adding the domain to the safe senders list.

I have contacted one organization that could make a change, but I am generally dealing with larger or much smaller organizations. The big ones mean I'm dealing with a customer service agent, so I am not going to be able to explain how their IT department needs to change something. The smaller orgs aren't going to understand (and I am not knowledgeable to help them) to make changes.

I also see messages should have gone to junk for a while before being blocked, and I'd be glad to add this to the many junk emails I get and let ME sort through them.

I am trying to change my password with bluesky app and im not getting the password reset codes from bluesky. This is a big stressful issue for me and bsky emails are nit in Junk. I've checked. This happens all the time with emails from businesses. WHY?

If the suggestions in this thread did not help, then you need to start a new thread using the "Ask a question" button at the top of this page to create a new Question and include the details for your specific problem and what steps you have already tried to fix it.

This provides much higher visibility to your issue than adding on to an existing post, which is only seen by people who are already following this question.

I’ve tried all the recommendations with no success, so I’m moving any accounts where I need this type of response to GMail since MSN can’t assist me. I had too many instances where I couldn’t get the necessary emails

Been with MSN since I started on mail, but they’re failing me now.
