curious if anyone can tell me if I could run office 2016 on my surface pro 7? Its getting older and idont want to pay for a new 365 renewal. My only question would be if there's a way to share/ update a few files with my pc.

Yes. Office 2016 runs well on a Surface Pro 7. The Surface Pro 7 uses a regular Intel x86 chip. Office 2016 will install and run natively.

Microsoft ended all support (including security patches) for Office 2016 in October 2025. So, you'd be running an unpatched, unsupported version of Office going forward.

If it's genuinely just "a few files" and you don't need real-time sync, a USB stick is enough.
