Hi Gregory Grizutin,

I understand that your PC is connected to the Internet and you were even able to reset your Microsoft account password from the sign-in screen, but Windows still reports that the device is offline and will not accept your password.

First, I need to confirm a few details:

  1. Are you signing in with a Microsoft account (Outlook.com, Hotmail.com, Live.com, etc.) or a local Windows account?
  2. Did this issue start after you changed or reset your Microsoft account password?
  3. What is the exact message shown on the sign-in screen?

In the meantime, if this is a Microsoft account sign-in issue, please try these steps:

  1. On the sign-in screen, click the network icon in the lower-right corner and verify that the PC is connected to Wi‑Fi or Ethernet.
  2. Restart the PC normally (not into Safe Mode) and try signing in using your full Microsoft account password.
  3. If you recently changed your Microsoft account password, try entering the previous password that was last used successfully on this PC, if you remember it.
  4. If available, boot into "Safe Mode with Networking" and attempt to sign in using the password rather than a PIN.

Note: Please follow the steps in our documentation to enable e-mail notifications if you want to receive the related email notification for this thread.
