Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

Just to narrow this down, does this happen with only one .docx file or with all Word documents? Also, is the file stored in OneDrive, iCloud/Files, or opened from an email attachment?

    Please try these first:

    • Open the file from the Word app directly, not from the iPhone Files preview.
    • Make sure Word is updated from the App Store.
    • Restart the iPhone, then try opening the document again.
    • If the file is in iCloud or an email, save/upload it to OneDrive first, then open it from Word.
    • If the same file opens on your computer, open it there and use Save As to create a fresh copy, then try that copy on the iPhone.

If Excel works fine, this may be specific to the Word app or that particular document.
