I am experiencing an issue with Microsoft Excel for Mac where the Copilot button does not appear, even though my Microsoft 365 subscription includes Copilot benefits.

I have already completed the following troubleshooting steps:

Verified that my Microsoft 365 subscription is active and up to date.
Confirmed that my subscription benefits page shows Copilot features for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Refreshed my Microsoft 365 license successfully.
Signed in using the correct Microsoft account.
Updated Excel to the latest available version.
Restarted Excel and my Mac.
Confirmed that the Copilot button is still missing from the Excel ribbon.

1.Verify your Account Sign-In:

Open Excel, click on File (top left) then select Account. Look under User Information and make sure you are signed into the exact work, school, or personal Microsoft account that holds your Copilot subscription.

2.Refresh your Microsoft 365 License:.

While still on the Account page, look for the Product Information section. Click the Update License button. You may be asked to sign in again to validate your access.

3.Enable Connected Experiences

On that same Account page, click Manage Settings under Account Privacy. Scroll down and ensure both Experiences that analyze your content and All connected experiences are checked. If these are off, Copilot is legally blocked from running.

4.**Restart Excel Completely:**Final Step.

Close all open Excel workbooks and restart the application. Open a workbook that is saved in OneDrive or SharePoint (Copilot requires cloud-hosted files to work). Look at the far right of your Home tab for the Copilot icon.

I beleive but iam not sure "AI features are only available to the primary subscription owner and cannot be shared."

If your family plan was shared with you by someone else (like a spouse or family member), Microsoft blocks the Copilot integration from showing up in your desktop Mac apps entirely. Only the person who actually pays for the subscription gets Copilot in Excel.

How to verify if you are the owner:

Go to your Mac browser, open account.microsoft.com, and sign in.

Look at the top banner or the Services & Subscriptions tab.

If it says "Shared with you by [Name]", you are a member, not the owner. Unfortunately, you won't get the Copilot button in Excel on your Mac desktop client under this current setup.

How to get Copilot working on your Mac:

If you aren't the primary owner but need to use Excel's AI features, you have a couple of options:

The Web Workaround: Log into office.com on Safari or Chrome and open your Excel sheet there. Sometimes the web version lets you access basic Copilot chat features, even if the native Mac desktop app blocks it.

I dont know whats happening I didnt get my 1tb storage also its shows only 5gb storage where I can get real solution how to contact Microsoft Support team for a live chat or mail

estou passando pelo mesmo problema, ja olhei todas as configurações e o Copilot nao aparece nativamente, somente separado entao nao consegue editar os arquivos, apenas propor as coisas.
