New outlook folders

Hi! for some time now i am experiencing an issue with New outlook

the issue is that in a company shared mailbox (not tied to any gmail or anythin so no imap) to which i have access to,
whenever a message is being moved from main inbox to any folder, the folder dissapears. first the folder that the message was being moved to was vanishing, then other folders started to dissapear as well, regardless if moving the message to them or even without moving messages at all.

messages were moved by drag and drop.
as per my check the issue is present in new outlook desktop app and in web outlook. classic outlook works fine as a workaround.
i already tried to clear cookies and cache in devtools, re add the profile, repair data file and few other fixes, including registry editor and ofc reinstallation. there are no rules set on the gmb that could cause that. in addition, the folders reappear at restarting the app, then start to dissapear again, so reopen is just a temp fix.

did anyone face something similar?

    Hi @Dominik

Thanks for sharing your situation. I have tried to reproduce your scenario; and I did not see the same behavior as yours on both New Outlook and Outlook Web.

However, I do find some similar threads have the same issue you describe. You can give them a check here:

You can also try open the shared mailbox in a separated tab in Outlook web:

    User's image

Additionally, can you please do a few small tests:

    • Using the Move button instead of drag and drop.
    • Test in another browser (use Edge if possible)
    • Try in private mode.

If this issue is affecting multiple users in your company, please raise you concern to the IT admin. Let them know your situation and open a support ticket via Admin Center if needed.
