Teams SMS Archiving Solutions

Currently, I have not identified a Microsoft-native solution that specifically archives Teams SMS messages yet. As far as I know, this may vary depending on the specific Teams SMS deployment scenario. In some cases, organizations may need to leverage third-party compliance and archiving solutions in addition to Microsoft technologies to meet retention and regulatory requirements.

You may also consider reviewing the reporting capabilities available in the Teams Admin Center if your primary goal is to track or monitor SMS activity rather than retain message content. I know that reporting and archiving serve different purposes. However, SMS reporting can help provide visibility into SMS activity and usage, while compliance archiving is typically focused on long-term retention, monitoring, legal hold, and eDiscovery requirements.
