Recently when I open WORD to create a new document, instead of opening in the normal manner it opens in a very narrow display (about 6 inches on my monitor) with no toolbar display until I click on the 3 dots in the upper right-hand corner. I've tried adjusting the view but can't get it back to normal. It always opens in the portrait orientation. Is there a cause and a fix for this? Thank you.

If Word is opening in a Normal window (not Maximized), its size will depend on the size when it was last closed. If you resize the window (with just one window open) and then close Word, it should reopen at the size and in the position where you left it. As for the Ribbon, that setting is also sticky. If you are seeing any Ribbon tabs (File, Home, Insert, etc.), you can double-click any one of them to expand the Ribbon. While it is expanded, click the down arrow at the right end and select Always show Ribbon. You can also choose to show or hide the Quick Access Toolbar.

    Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with this. Could you please share a full-screen screenshot showing how the software looks when you open it? Also, did this start happening after changing any settings, installing updates, or making any other changes to the device?
