Hi, This week my Steam and Discord log ins did not work on the same day.

I did not know why.

Asked to re-set my passwords.

Stem worked fine...Discord is another matter.

Seems Discord now does not recognise my password...when i send for a reset, it opens up a Whats app code from YunCertify.

Ive been on the Discord customer services for 2 evenings trying to sort it out...still not resolved.

Is YunCertify a Spam? Fisching Bot?

    Hi guy robertson,

I understand how unsettling it can be to notice login issues with both Steam and Discord around the same time, especially when an unfamiliar “code provider” suddenly appears. You're totally correct to be careful. That said, I need to note that Steam and Discord are third‑party applications, while the issue also involve account information.

Microsoft Q&A is just a user-to-user support forum, mainly covering Microsoft products. Given that, no one here can confirm whether YunCertify is an authorized provider for those platforms or explain the details of their authentication systems. I can share my findings with you, but please do NOT treat this as an official statement.

Now from what I’ve found, some users mentioned receiving authentication codes from a sender identified as YUNcertify (on Facebook, REDDIT, and even Microsoft Q&A). In this particular case: Abnormal Authenicate code sender Detected, the codes appeared working for verification, which means they may be legitimate. However, that doesn’t guarantee 100% safety.

If you personally initiated the password resets and the codes successfully completed verification, that points toward the messages being generated by the service’s authentication process. Many online platforms do rely on external providers to deliver SMS or WhatsApp verification codes, so the presence of a third‑party sender isn’t automatically suspicious.

Still, it is unusual that Discord or Steam support couldn’t confirm whether YunCertify is one of their providers. Until you have clear confirmation, the safest approach is to remain cautious: never share verification codes with anyone, regardless of who claims to be from Discord, Steam, or technical support.
