Phone Link app blocks file explorer from seeing files on my android phone, with or without USB cable.

I have read every help page I can find, from MS and outside people. Why does MS not allow a simple cable any more? I have checked all updates. I have tried different cables. I have restarted both PC and phone. I have delved into USB debug. I have changed all of my permissions so many times, I cannot remember and tried granting every possible permission on both. I cannot remove Phone Link from Windows - UGH!. All of the MS help seems to deflect from the fact that it is a defective product and now embedded into Win11. I CANNOT TRANSFER MY FILES ANYMORE!!! A simple cable worked for decades. Now the PC is so smart and helpful that it trashes our world. What next?

    This works. Please tell me why the path is so hard, and why other MS "help" notes that it could not be removed. We should not have to read for hours to get to such a resolution. thank you.
