I connected the Oracle database to Microsoft Purview using SHIR. However, I encountered an error during the data source scan.

Error:

Internal system error. Please contact support with correlationId: 5eaf837c-f8b5-4e55-97ae-3b5ab7813fd5 System Error, contact support: (1303) Incorrect linked service connection info provided to DataScan. )

To verify the connectivity, I tested the Oracle database connection from the SHIR server using the same connection details, and the connection was successful. This indicates that the SHIR server can connect to the Oracle database without any issues.

    Hi @Pawinee Khajorntraidech

Thank you for the additional details.

Since you've confirmed that the Oracle database is reachable from the Self-hosted Integration Runtime (SHIR), the network connectivity itself appears to be working.

The error: (1303) Incorrect linked service connection info provided to DataScan

typically indicates an issue encountered by the Microsoft Purview scan engine while processing the scan configuration rather than basic connectivity.

Could you please verify the following:

    • Ensure you're using the latest Self-hosted Integration Runtime (SHIR). You can download the latest version here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=105539
    • If the connection test succeeds but the scan still fails, try recreating the Oracle data source and the scan.
    • Verify that the Oracle connection details (host, port, Service Name/SID, authentication method, and credentials) configured in Microsoft Purview exactly match your Oracle database configuration.

If the issue still persists after the above validation, we recommend opening a Microsoft Support request. The support team can collect the required diagnostics and engage the Product Group (PG) for further investigation if necessary.

Also, could you please let us know whether you have a Microsoft Support plan available?
