An Azure service that offers file shares in the cloud.
EREMOTEIO is the Linux client's surfaced error, so it does not by itself prove the share is failing. In Azure Monitor, use the exact UTC failure window and compare SuccessServerLatency with SuccessE2ELatency. Low server latency but high end-to-end latency points to the client or network; elevated server latency or availability failures point toward the service. Also filter Transactions by Response type for premium-share throttling, including ClientShareIopsThrottlingError and the ingress/egress equivalents; totals can hide short bursts.
Reproduce from one same-region VM using a supported, current Linux kernel and documented NFS 4.1 mount settings. Capture dmesg/journalctl output, mount options, the affected path and operation, and exact UTC timestamps. If the same operation fails there while throttling is absent and server latency or availability degrades, open an Azure support request with the timestamps and storage account/share identifiers so Microsoft can trace the backend requests.
