The profile last-name field currently has a validation issue with certain special characters (such as Polish diacritics). This prevents saving the legal name exactly as it appears on the government ID.
Workaround and next steps:
- Enter the last name without the Polish diacritic characters (for example, use plain Latin letters instead of ą, ć, ń, etc.) and save the profile.
- Use this normalized version of the last name when registering and checking in for the exam. Other candidates have successfully taken exams this way even though their ID contains diacritics.
- If the system still blocks saving the name or if there is concern about the mismatch, contact Credentials Support so the case can be reviewed and corrected on the backend:
- Follow the guidance under How to contact support for certification issues and submit a support request to the Credentials Support team.
This is the only supported way to resolve legal-name issues for certification profiles when the self-service form rejects the last name.
