Unable to change Microsoft Account name

Hi,

I cannot change my account name for the email address: ******@hotmail.com

the current name is shown as: first name: Always Last name: Care

I want to change to: First name: Always Last name: Care & Support

I’ve tried to do that for at least 4 days, same error message: “Try again later. Sorry, we can’t reach the service right now.”

i’ve tried different browsers (Edge, Chrome, Opera, Safari), browser private mode, 3 different networks, delete caches. Nothing works.

Also contacted Microsoft support twice, Request Number 7105076487, and 7105025521, not helpful , finally referred to here.

could you please assist?

I just tested and I get

But without the "&" it works

You are suppose to be able to use special characters in your Display Name. Mother Microsoft must have decided to be very picky this week.
