A PC equipped with advanced AI capabilities and Windows Copilot integration
I understand how frustrating it can be when you uninstall an app and then cannot get it installed again.
To help narrow this down, could you please confirm a few details?
- Are you using Windows 10 or Windows 11?
- Are you trying to reinstall Copilot from the Microsoft Store?
- Do you see any error message or error code when the installation fails?
- Is this a personal device, or is it managed by a work/school organization?
- Can you install or update other apps from the Microsoft Store normally?
In the meantime, you can try these steps:
- Restart your PC, then try installing Copilot again from the Microsoft Store.
- Open Microsoft Store, go to Library, then select Get updates to make sure the Store app is up to date.
- Run Windows Update by going to Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.
- Reset the Microsoft Store cache by pressing Windows + R, typing
wsreset, then pressing Enter. After the Store reopens, try installing Copilot again. - Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps, search for Copilot, and check whether it is still listed. If it appears, try uninstalling it again, then restart your PC and reinstall it.
- If you are using VPN, proxy, or third-party antivirus/firewall software, temporarily turn it off and try the installation again.
If this is a work or school device, the installation may also be blocked by your organization’s policy, so you may need to contact your IT admin to confirm whether Microsoft Store or Copilot installation is allowed on the device.
You can also use Copilot in a browser as a workaround while checking the installation issue. While my initial response may not fully resolve the issue, I truly appreciate your cooperation as we work together toward identifying the most effective solution. Thank you so much for your understanding.
