Multiple animated slides inside a slide? How?

Hello,

I got a PowerPoint deck (can't share it). A few slides have multiple animations when watching in presentation. When I go to edit mode to look at the specific animated slide, I only see its first animation part. Where are the other animations to show the final results inside this slide?

I wanted to print the final results in the animated slide and not the first part in this slide. This is in updated Mac Office v16.110.2 (Build 26062818)'s PowerPoint in updated macOS Sequoia v15.7.7.

    Thank you for explaining the issue you are encountering with PowerPoint.

    From your description, this sounds related to how PowerPoint handles animated slides. In Edit/Normal view, PowerPoint usually shows the slide in its starting state, while the other parts of the animation only appear when the slide show is played.

    You can check the animation sequence this way:

    1. Open the slide in PowerPoint.
    2. Go to the Animations tab.
    3. Select Animation Pane.
    4. Review the listed effects and use Preview or Play From to see how the slide builds.

    For printing, PowerPoint may not print the slide after all animations have completed. If you need the final animated result printed, you can try one of these workarounds:

    • Screenshot workaround: Start the slide show, advance until the final animation result appears, take a screenshot, then print the screenshot.
    • Duplicate slide workaround: Duplicate the slide, manually arrange the objects to match the final animation result, remove the animations, then print that duplicate slide.
    • Check hidden/layered objects: Open Home > Arrange > Selection Pane to see whether some objects are hidden behind others or controlled by animation triggers.

    If the slide uses Morph or motion-path animations, the final appearance may be easier to capture by running the slide show and taking a screenshot once the animation finishes.
