I need to speak to a human being at Microsoft to get account access due to a 2FA issue

I am locked out of my business account due to a 2FA issue. I called the business line and got a ticket number. An agent said they would handle resetting my 2FA and call back. They never called. I know they were originally sending e-mails to my business e-mail, but I can no longer see them and respond to follow up inquiring about status because the issue lingered and I was told I need to sign in again.

All the guides are circular and don't apply to a 2FA issue. I can't login to the admin center, etc. There are multiple layers of AI agents that seem to be designed to hang up on you. If someone could just e-mail my backup e-mail (which is in MS records and for which I have another personal MS account, this one) and confirm they are actually working on the ticket and it's not lost in the sands of time, that would be enough. But nothing has happened just radio silence and bots giving me circular advice.

There also seems to be zero methods for a home account user to call a person, so I can't even call on my home account and see if that works.

Dear @Eamon L,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on your description, it seems you are locked out of your Microsoft 365 business account due to an MFA (2FA) issue and cannot access the Admin Center or email linked to your support ticket.

You mentioned that you have already submitted a support ticket and were contacted by an agent. However, the agent did not follow up, and you are unsure how to contact them again or check the status of your case.

In this situation, I recommend creating a temporary tenant account and submitting the support request from there. To create a new tenant, follow these steps:

  1. Visit Office 365 E3 - Enterprise Collaboration and Productivity | Microsoft
  2. Select any plan and click Try for free.
  3. Complete the setup to create a new tenant.
  4. Ticket support: In the Microsoft 365 admin center>support>help & support. You can create a support ticket: https://admin.microsoft.com/#/support/requests

Important: Please remember to cancel the trial subscription once your issue is resolved to avoid any charges.

Please ensure that you provide your contact information correctly, including your phone number and an alternative email address, so the agent can reach you.

In the meantime, it would be helpful if you could share your currently ID ticket in Primate Message so I can better understand your situation.
