An Azure service that is used to route incoming network traffic for high performance and availability.
Mohsin Javaid Baig (Lumovy Technology Solutions) hi & thx for sharing urs issue here at Q&A portal,
Yes, the same Traffic Manager DNS name can usually be reused after the original profile is deleted, even in another subscription or tenant. However, the label isn't always released immediately. Thirty minutes may not be enough. The deletion has to propagate through the Traffic Manager control plane and global DNS registration system, and the name can remain unavailable for some time after the resource disappears from the portal. First confirm that the old profile is fully deleted and not still present in another subscription, tenant, or resource group. Also check the old subscription’s Activity Log to make sure the delete operation completed successfully.
If the name is still unavailable after several hours, this may be a stale or orphaned Traffic Manager label. There’s no customer-side command to force its release. Open an Azure Traffic Manager support case with the old and new subscription IDs, profile name, deletion timestamp, and the correlation IDs for both the delete and failed create operations. The Traffic Manager team can confirm whether the label is still reserved and release it from the backend.
