A unified data governance solution that helps manage, protect, and discover data across your organization
Hi @Manoj Joy
It depends on which audit logs you're referring to.
If you're looking for Microsoft 365 audit logs (such as user activities across Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, or Purview), Microsoft Purview Audit is the primary and recommended solution, as it provides centralized auditing across Microsoft 365 services.
If you prefer not to use Purview, there are other options depending on your scenario:
- Many Azure services can send diagnostic and activity logs to Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or Event Hubs for monitoring and analysis.
- For Azure resource operations, you can use the Azure Activity Log available in the Azure portal.
- Some individual services also maintain their own native audit or diagnostic logs that can be enabled independently.
Could you clarify which product or service you want to audit (for example, Microsoft Purview, Azure, Azure SQL Database, Microsoft 365, or another service)? That will help determine the most appropriate auditing option.
