    Hi Saikat Talukder,

If the update being installed repeatedly is KB2267602 (Microsoft Defender Security Intelligence Update), this is often expected behavior. Although the KB number remains the same, Microsoft Defender regularly receives new security intelligence versions, and each new version may appear as another installation in Windows Update history.

To verify whether this is normal behavior:

    • Open Settings > Windows Update > Update history.
    • Locate the repeated KB2267602 entries.
    • Compare the Security Intelligence Version associated with each installation.

If you are seeing a different KB number, or if the same update continues to download and install without any version change, please share the exact KB number and any error messages shown in Windows Update. This will help determine whether the behavior is expected or if additional troubleshooting is needed.

I hope this helps clarify what you're seeing. Let me know if you need further assistance, feel free to ask me by clicking "Add Comment" or "Add Answer" if you cannot add comment so your response will be visible. Thanks for your effort.

    Hi Saikat,

Microsoft Defender security intelligence updates are released every 3-4 hours. So, it's normal to see many such entries in the Windows Update history, depending on how often the system checks for updates.

Though the security intelligence update version numbers differ (as seen in the screenshot), the KB number ("KB2267602") remains the same.
