What is this problem with designer?

I am trying to use windows designer and to upload and paste images into a generated image but paste does not work when i click on it even though something is on the clipboard.

Thanks for posting your question here. This issue happens because Microsoft Designer it only accepts standard image types like PNG or JPG, while many copied items come in unsupported formats such as HTML, embedded objects, or unrecognized format

Here's what you can do instead of pasting it, you can reliably add images by dragging and dropping them onto the canvas or using the Add Image / Upload button. For best results, save or copy your image using tools like Snipping Tool or Paint first, and if the app acts up, just refresh or restart it.
