Microsoft for Startups – LinkedIn Verification Stuck (BadRequest Conflict)

Hello Microsoft Team,

I am unable to complete my Microsoft for Startups (Founders Hub) onboarding.

My issue

When I first signed up, I completed the startup application form. During the final step, my computer unexpectedly shut down.

Since then, every time I sign in to Microsoft for Startups, I am taken directly to the dashboard instead of the onboarding form.

When I click "Verify with LinkedIn", I always receive the following error:

BadRequest (Conflict)

What I have already tried

Different browsers (Chrome and Edge)

Incognito mode

Clearing browser cache and cookies

Logging out and back in

Waiting several weeks

My LinkedIn account is active, over one year old, and in good standing

Additional information

Microsoft account: ******@gmail.com

This issue has persisted for more than two months.

I never received a Microsoft for Startups confirmation email.

Could someone please check whether my onboarding/application is stuck in an incomplete state and, if necessary, reset my Founders Hub onboarding so I can complete the application from the beginning?

Thank you.

The onboarding state for a Microsoft for Startups / Founders Hub account cannot be reset or fixed from the customer side. This scenario requires program support to review the application status and correct the account configuration.

To get this resolved, submit a Microsoft for Startups support request with the details provided (including the LinkedIn BadRequest (Conflict) error and that onboarding never completed):

  1. Sign in to the Microsoft for Startups experience:
  2. In the top-right corner, select the "?" icon.
  3. Choose "Submit a Support Ticket" (or "Help + support" → "Create a support request" in Azure).
  4. In the request, specify that:
    • Founders Hub onboarding is stuck at LinkedIn verification.
    • The LinkedIn callback returns BadRequest (Conflict).
    • The application never completed and no confirmation email was received.
    • Request that support check for a partially created application and either complete or reset the onboarding.
  5. Attach a screenshot of the error and the dashboard showing the "Verify with LinkedIn" banner.

For Microsoft for Startups program–specific issues (not general Azure technical problems), use the dedicated program support entry point at https://aka.ms/startuphelp-mfs-portal as indicated in the documentation.

Support can then inspect the backend application state and clear or correct the conflict so that LinkedIn verification and onboarding can be completed.
