Startups: Companies that are in their initial stages of business and typically developing a business model and seeking financing.
The onboarding state for a Microsoft for Startups / Founders Hub account cannot be reset or fixed from the customer side. This scenario requires program support to review the application status and correct the account configuration.
To get this resolved, submit a Microsoft for Startups support request with the details provided (including the LinkedIn BadRequest (Conflict) error and that onboarding never completed):
- Sign in to the Microsoft for Startups experience:
- If the startup was onboarded before May 29, 2026, go to the Microsoft for Startups Portal.
- If using the newer experience, sign in to the Azure Portal and open the Microsoft for Startups page.
- In the top-right corner, select the "?" icon.
- Choose "Submit a Support Ticket" (or "Help + support" → "Create a support request" in Azure).
- In the request, specify that:
- Founders Hub onboarding is stuck at LinkedIn verification.
- The LinkedIn callback returns
BadRequest (Conflict). - The application never completed and no confirmation email was received.
- Request that support check for a partially created application and either complete or reset the onboarding.
- Attach a screenshot of the error and the dashboard showing the "Verify with LinkedIn" banner.
For Microsoft for Startups program–specific issues (not general Azure technical problems), use the dedicated program support entry point at https://aka.ms/startuphelp-mfs-portal as indicated in the documentation.
Support can then inspect the backend application state and clear or correct the conflict so that LinkedIn verification and onboarding can be completed.
