Having trouble with installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64)

Whenever I attempt to play a game through Steam I get this error message (shown in the first image), I have done some research and gone back and forth with Claude AI to try and find what the issue is. It has said the main problem is installing this component. Whenever I try to download it through microsoft I am met with the second image. In settings I see there is an update which always starts downloading when I start up my computer, but gets to 38% and then does not continue from there. What can I do to fix these problems?

    Hi, good day!

    From your screenshots, it looks like the Visual C++ installer itself isn't actually the main issue. The error code 0x80070652 means Windows believes another installation is already in progress, which prevents the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015–2022 Redistributable from installing.

    A good first step would be to restart the computer and wait a few minutes after logging in before attempting the Visual C++ installation again.
