Text in a table column is cutoff even if I switch from three column table to one column table on a SharePoint page.

It appears it's a web part that is actually a "library". I would like to list only portions of the library, but have the entire file name appear/be listed.

For more on SharePoint libraries, see https://support.microsoft.com/en-US/SharePoint/documents-and-library/create-a-document-library-in-sharepoint .

    Hi Susan,

For your concern, I have tested with a table in the Text web part in my SharePoint site, but the text does not cut off and auto-resizes correctly.

Therefore, for the best possible assistance, could you provide more detailed information about this situation? I appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

    • Is the cutoff happening in a Text web part table or in a List web part?
    • Does the problem happen only after switching from a 3-column section to a 1-column section, or was it already cut off before the layout change?
    • Was the table created directly in SharePoint (e.g. using Insert Table option) or was it pasted from another source (Word, Excel table, etc.)
    • If you create a new table on a same page, does the issue persist?
    • If possible, please share some screenshots about the issue (full page screenshot, the interface while editing the page, etc.) so I can try reproducing the issue on my side and better understand your situation.

Please understand that my initial response may not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

Thank you for your understanding. I look forward to hearing from you.
