How do i provide my YC verification link for my startup credits as of jun 2026

After May 29th Of 2026, Microsoft Azure changed it's startup application portal now its come down to three steps with a referral code, during the submission of my application i didn't have a option to enter my VC's verification link (Y Combinator).

It has displayed a 3 days wait time for my application to be processed, while YC says if the verification link is not provided the application may get rejected or delayed. But without the portal giving me a option to enter the URL how am i supposed to claim my credits?

With the updated Azure for Startups application experience introduced after May 2026, applicants may no longer see a dedicated field to enter a Y Combinator (YC) verification link during the initial application submission.

If your application has already been submitted and is currently under review, there is generally no need to resubmit it. The review team may validate your startup's eligibility through the information provided in the application and may contact you if additional verification is required.

If your YC verification link was not requested during the application process and you are concerned about potential delays, we recommend opening a support request through the Azure for Startups portal and providing:

  • Your startup name
  • Application ID (if available)
  • The YC verification link
  • A brief explanation that the new application flow did not provide a field to submit the verification URL

This will allow the review team to associate the verification information with your application if needed.

Since your application is still within the stated review window, we recommend waiting for the initial review outcome. If additional documentation or verification is required, the team will typically reach out during the review process.
