The "unexpected error" during GH-300 exam scheduling is typically caused by an issue with the Pearson VUE account, often after failed payment attempts, which can result in the account being blocked (for example, with an ERROR_VUE_WIDE_BLOCK status).
To resolve this:
- Check the browser address bar when the error appears and look for
ERROR_VUE_WIDE_BLOCKin the URL. This indicates a Pearson VUE–wide block on the account. - Contact Pearson VUE support directly and ask them to check and unlock the account. Use the Pearson VUE contact options provided via Microsoft Certification support:
- Go to the Certification support entry point: https://aka.ms/CertificationSupport
- From there, follow the link to Pearson VUE support for Microsoft exams.
- After Pearson VUE confirms the block is removed, try scheduling the GH-300 exam again from the Microsoft Learn certification profile.
If the error persists even after the account is unlocked, contact Microsoft Certification Support as well so they can verify the certification profile and scheduling link.
