@Michelle-N had requested that I open a new issue for this, after posting it to a similar issue for someone else that had the same proble,. I am troubleshooting an issue that on certain slides in Powerpoint presentations, pictures are cut off. Only a small portion of the image (usually the top-left corner) is visible, while the rest of the image area is blank/white.
The slide files are not corrupted, as they open 100% correctly on the web browser using O365 Powerpoint, and also 100% correctly on the Mac if you choose to "Preview" instead of opening in Powerpoint for Mac. Both of those show the picture in the slide correctly. Only Powerpoint for Mac is having the issue.
Tried opening the Powerpoint in the Powerpoint for Mac app both from Outlook and opening the file attached to an email, and also saving the file locally and opening it locally. Same result.
Have confirmed this same behavior on two different Macs, both are running current MacOS (Tahoe 26.5.1) and current Powerpoint for Mac (16.110).

The affected image file was emf format. PowerPoint Mac did not render the OP's file correctly, Word for Mac however rendered it normally.

If you have tested across multiple devices and the issue only occurs in PowerPoint Mac, it indicates the problem might come from the render engine of client itself.
Could you please do some quick test to help narrow down the issue?
If the issue only recently occurs, try reverting to older version such as 16.108.x. Update history for Office for Mac - Office release notes | Microsoft Learn
Or update to the newest version 16.110.1. in Help > Check for updates. This could help isolated if the issue affects on this specific build (16.110).
Additionally, what were the extensions of the images? (.png, .jpeg, etc.)
Does this happen to all .pptx files or just this specific one?
If possible, could you please share the file and some screenshots via private message so i can have a better visualization.

Happens only to some PPT files, not all. Also, this slide deck has about 25 slides with images, and only one slide has this issue. Other slides with pictures look right. I will message you a sample of the slides thats bad and the second one in the PPT file is fine.
This is a work around answer. I have reported this bug under the Powerpoint feedback forum to have Microsoft fix it so that it is handled the same in Windows and Mac clients.

From my perspective, this is more like an unexpected behavior. As I also test with other .emf files and it still renders correctly both in PowerPoint and Word for Mac.
