Unable to access SharePoint / Power Apps – Azure marketplace error during setup

Hello,

I recently purchased Microsoft 365 Business Premium, which should include SharePoint Online and Power Apps.

However, I’m unable to properly access or use these services. While attempting to set up SharePoint (via Azure), I encountered the following error:

"Oops! Could not create the marketplace item"

From my understanding, SharePoint Online should already be provisioned within Microsoft 365, but it appears that my tenant may not be correctly configured or services are not fully available.

Impact:

This issue is currently blocking development of a Power Apps application, as I cannot use SharePoint as a data source or access expected services.

I have a key for AZURE.

The error "Oops! Could not create the marketplace item" occurs because you are attempting to provision SharePoint Online through the Azure Marketplace.

As a Microsoft 365 Business Premium subscriber, SharePoint Online and Power Apps are already included and fully provisioned within your subscription. You do not need to purchase, deploy, or configure them through the Azure Marketplace, nor do you need an Azure key to activate them.

To access SharePoint and Power Apps, please follow these steps using your Microsoft 365 admin credentials:

Assign Licenses: Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center > Users > Active Users. Click on your account, go to the Licenses and apps tab, and ensure your Business Premium license is checked and assigned to you.
Access SharePoint: Once the license is assigned, you can access your SharePoint home page directly by visiting https://<your-tenant-name>.sharepoint.com or via the Microsoft 365 portal by clicking the SharePoint app launcher icon.
Connect to Power Apps: Once you can access SharePoint, go to the Power Apps | Home. You will be able to add your SharePoint lists as a data source immediately without any Azure dependencies.

I avoided providing my tenant name for the obvious reason but that information was here!

Checking the connection

Checking the proxy, firewall, and DNS configuration

Thus far these are the licenses that I presently have after following your instructions I have six of them but none are associated to SharePoint:

I also thought it was strange for me to attempt to obtain yet another license key for AZURE, I'm glad it's a Temp key!

No SharePoint license assigned

From your screenshot, you currently have Power Platform related licenses, but none include SharePoint access, so the service may not be activated for your account.

This cannot be fixed from your side.

Please contact your Microsoft 365 admin and ask them to:

Go to Microsoft 365 Admin Center

Assign a license that includes SharePoint Online (e.g., Microsoft 365 Business / E3 / E5)

Verify that the SharePoint service is enabled for your account

If the issue persists, create a support ticket (Support > Help & support)

In the process of getting personalized assistance from Microsoft.

Some experts profess that I should use Azure and others say that I don't need it! It appears as though I will have to set up a Business account and migrate my data and scripts over from my MS 365 personal to MS 365 business to be able to orchestrate SharePoint with Power Apps but integrating the Data-verse portion of my model might be a problem??? so confusing.

Given the responses I have received and knowing the requirements and level of expected performance within my use case, I believe the best path is to make Azure my primary data layer and build functionality base on that plus the number of users communicating with each other will start in excess of 300+ to 5,000.

You do not need to create your tenant through a separate vendor. I strongly recommend creating it directly with Microsoft.

About Business Basic vs Standard
Business Basic:

Business Standard (recommended):
