Hyperlinks in the MS Word Table of Contents

Based on your sharing, if you inserted an automatic TOC from Word using heading styles, the entries are normally hyperlinked by default. In Word, the default action to jump to that heading is hold Ctrl + click a TOC entry, rather than just single-clicking it.

If you want a single click instead of Ctrl + click, you can go to File > Options > Advanced > uncheck the box "Use CTRL + Click to follow hyperlink"

About the problem that page numbers are off by 2 pages, it usually points to one of these page-numbering setup issues:

• Your document has front matter (e.g. a cover page and TOC) and the numbered body starts later by 2
• There is a section break or page-numbering restart so Word counts pages differently.
