issue with Azure login on my personal microsoft account

I'm completely locked out of Azure with my personal Microsoft account. Every sign-in attempt, on both portal.azure.com and entra.microsoft.com, immediately redirects to the "Sign-in failed" page with AADSTS5000225 ("This tenant has been blocked due to inactivity"). The dropdown only offers the blocked directory, so I can't reach any dashboard, switch directories, or create a new tenant.

Error details from the page:

  • Tenant: Default Directory, ID
  • Error code: AADSTS5000225
  • Trace ID: 797db3fc-449f-42f8-8646-0da347072000
  • Correlation ID: 019ef3e6-3a1d-77e8-a9e6-a8072360b1df
  • Timestamp: 2026-06-23 09:53:40Z

I've already tried all of these and they all give the same error: incognito/private window, cleared cookies, a different browser, signing in with the tenant ID appended to the URL, and going in through entra.microsoft.com instead of portal.azure.com.

To be clear about what I need: I don't need anything that's in this tenant. I don't care about its data and I'm fine for it to be removed. I just want to be able to use Azure again on this same account, whether that's by clearing the block, removing the association between my account and this directory, or anything else that gets me to a usable state. I'm the admin on the account and can provide identity-verification details by private message whenever an engineer can pick this up. Thanks.
