Legal Name Change

To correct the legal name on a Microsoft certification account, update the Legal Name in the Microsoft Learn profile and, if needed, contact Credentials Support.

Follow these steps:

1. Sign in to the Microsoft Learn profile used for certifications.
2. Go to Settings in the profile: https://learn.microsoft.com/users/me/settings
3. In Settings, locate the Legal Name field and follow the instructions there to update the legal name.
4. If an exam is already scheduled or the page indicates that the name change requires review, use the link shown on that page to contact Credentials Support and submit a support request. That team handles legal name corrections on certification profiles and existing bookings.
