A family of Microsoft presentation graphics products that offer tools for creating presentations and adding graphic effects like multimedia objects and special effects with text.
On macOS, PowerPoint does not automatically list files from that Templates folder under File > New from Template unless they are saved as actual PowerPoint template files.
Check these points:
- Confirm the file type
Make sure each file in:~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/User Content/Templatesis saved as a PowerPoint template:-
.potx(PowerPoint Template) - or
.potm(PowerPoint Macro-Enabled Template)
- Open the presentation.
- Select File > Save as Template.
- In File Format, choose PowerPoint Template (.potx) or PowerPoint Macro-Enabled Template (.potm).
- Save (by default, PowerPoint uses the Templates folder path above).
-
- Open the template directly if it still doesn’t appear
If the template still does not show in the gallery, it can always be used by opening it directly:- Select File > Open.
- Navigate to
~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/User Content/Templates. - Select the
.potx/.potmfile and click Open. - Immediately save as a normal presentation: File > Save As, choose PowerPoint Presentation (.pptx).
- Alternative: create from a standard template, then save as template
If needed, start from a standard Microsoft template via File > New from Template, customize it, then use File > Save as Template so PowerPoint places it correctly in the Templates folder.
