Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Follow these steps to locate the missing invoice and the charge it relates to:
- Confirm the correct portal (business vs personal)
The charge is for a Microsoft 365 business subscription, so the invoice should be in the Microsoft 365 admin center, not in the personal Microsoft account order history. - Check that the right account/tenant is being used
A common cause is using the wrong account or tenant:- Sign out of all Microsoft accounts in the browser.
- Sign in again to the Microsoft 365 admin center using the business admin account for the subscription.
- If the organization has more than one billing account/tenant, in the admin center go to Billing > Bills & payments and use Change billing account or the Billing account view selector to switch between billing accounts and see if the invoice appears under a different one.
- Search for the invoice in Bills & payments
In the Microsoft 365 admin center:- Go to Billing > Bills & payments.
- On the Invoices tab, adjust the date filter to cover May 2026 (for example, Past 6 months or a Specify date range that includes 23 May 2026).
- Look for invoices around that date and amount.
- Select an invoice to view details. If found, select Download / Download invoice or Download PDF to get the document for reconciliation.
- If no invoices appear at all in the admin center
- Verify that the signed-in account has at least Billing Administrator or billing owner/contributor permissions; otherwise invoices will not be visible.
- If the organization has both MCA and MOSA billing account types, use Change billing account in Bills & payments to check each type.
- If the invoice number from the card statement still cannot be found
The charge may belong to a different subscription or billing profile (for example, another tenant or a different Microsoft account used historically for the business):- Try signing in with any other admin or historical accounts that might have been used to purchase Microsoft 365 for the business and repeat step 3 for each.
- If the invoice still cannot be located
At this point, direct assistance is required:- Use Get support for Microsoft 365 for business from the admin center or go to the documented support entry point and create a support request for billing.
- Provide the support agent with: the charge date (23 May 2026), amount (15.75), and the invoice/transaction number shown on the credit card statement so they can locate the billing profile or tenant where that invoice resides and provide a copy.
These steps align with how Microsoft 365 business invoices are surfaced and with the typical resolution when a charge is visible on a card but not in the expected admin center account.
