Having effectively killed legacy outlook by disabling the inclusion of the email string in any replies, when forced to change to new Outlook most of my inbox emails are missing, some folders are missing and the set up is not the same.

As Legacy Outlook no longer includes the whole email string in any reply (WHY?) the fix is, apparently, to use new Outlook. Then the issue is that most of my inbox is missing and much of the layout set up is incorrect. Further, none of the predictive email addresses work and the search function has become a joke- taking 5-25 seconds to produce no results.

Why have you done this and what, please, is the fix? I am using Outlook for Mac on V16.110 and Microsoft 365. Please stop doing things like this.

I completely understand how frustrating this experience has been for you with both Legacy Outlook and the New Outlook for Mac. 

I would like to clarify that as a forum moderator, I do not have the ability to intervene directly in Microsoft products or make changes within the system due to privacy and service boundaries. 

As an alternative approach, you may still be able to continue using Legacy Outlook by reverting to a previous version. You can remove the current version 16.110 by going to Finder > Microsoft Outlook > Move to Trash, then install version 16.109.3. Based on testing and confirmation from other users, this version does not show the same behavior.

After installing, you may also want to turn off automatic updates for Legacy Outlook to help keep the version stable. You can do this by going to Help > Check for Updates > unchecking “Automatically keep Microsoft apps up to date”.

    The Outlook for Mac version 16.110.1 in the Current Channel is now available, and this version includes a fix for the issue described. 

    You can update by going to Help > Check for Updates. 

    Alternatively, you may remove the current Outlook for Mac by going to Finder > Microsoft Outlook, right‑click > Move to Trash, then install version 16.110.1 using the updater.pkg available from the Update history for Office for Mac - Office release notes | Microsoft Learn image
