Completion of a Microsoft Learn module or learning path (such as a generative AI module) does not grant a Microsoft certification. Instead:
- Completing modules earns badges.
- Completing learning paths earns trophies.
- Certifications are only awarded for passing official certification exams (for example, role-based or product exams listed under Microsoft Credentials), not for self-paced Learn modules.
Badges and trophies can be viewed in the Achievements section of the Microsoft Learn profile:
- Sign in to Microsoft Learn.
- Select the profile name in the top-right corner.
- Go to Profile → Achievements to see badges and trophies for completed modules and learning paths.
If an instructor-led course was attended and an achievement code was provided, the course completion badge can be claimed by redeeming that code. If no exam was taken and passed, no certification will appear, even if the generative AI module is fully completed.
