To cancel an Xbox (or other Microsoft) subscription and stop future charges, follow these steps:
- Go to the Services & subscriptions page: https://account.microsoft.com/services
- Sign in with the same Microsoft account used for the Xbox subscription.
- Under Services & subscriptions, find the Xbox subscription (for example, Xbox Game Pass or another Xbox plan).
- Select Manage next to that subscription.
- If instead of Manage it shows Turn on recurring billing, the subscription is already set to end on the date shown and will not renew; no further action is needed.
- On the next page, select Cancel (or Cancel subscription, or Upgrade or Cancel, depending on what is shown).
- Follow the prompts to confirm cancellation. The subscription will stop renewing, and charges will stop after the current period.
If the Xbox subscription was purchased through a third party (for example, Google Play or the Apple App Store), cancellation and any refund must be handled through that store’s support, not through Microsoft.
If there are charges that are not recognized or that are causing difficulty with rent and bills, review the charges and investigate them on the Microsoft account billing pages, and then follow the refund guidance for subscriptions where eligible.
