The missing Start button on the task card is a known Copilot UI issue that can occur after updates. In similar cases, the behavior was resolved by reinstalling or repairing the Copilot experience so the task card renders correctly.
In practice, this means:
- Remove/uninstall the Copilot app or experience that is providing the “create a deck/file/spreadsheet” flow.
- Reinstall or re-enable Copilot (for example, from the Microsoft 365 apps where it is integrated).
- Try the same Copilot prompt again; the task card should now show the Start button so the Excel file can be created.
If the problem persists after reinstalling, raise it through your organization’s support channel or Microsoft support, as it is not expected behavior once Copilot is correctly installed and enabled.
