Don't see Copilot Icon in my MS Apps (Excel, Powerpoint, Word). there Only Autopilot and the Preview of the Copilot for Finance in Excel only

Copilot in the Microsoft 365 desktop apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) only appears when specific requirements are met. If only Autopilot and a “Copilot for Finance (Preview)” pane are visible, use these checks to get the main Copilot button:

1. Confirm the correct account and license
   • Open Word, Excel, or PowerPoint.
   • Check the account shown at the top-right of the app window.
   • Ensure that account has a Copilot-eligible subscription:
     • Home users: Microsoft 365 Personal or Family, or Copilot Pro.
     • Business users: Microsoft 365 Business Basic/Standard/Premium, E3, E5, F1, or F3 plus a Microsoft 365 Copilot license.
   • For new/unsaved or local files, the primary account shown in the title bar must be the Copilot-licensed account.
2. Update the apps to a supported build
   • On Windows: in any app, go to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now to install the latest build. Copilot requires recent versions; if the app is outdated, the Copilot button will not appear.
   • On Mac: use Help > Check for Updates or the Microsoft AutoUpdate tool as described in Install Office updates / Update Office for Mac automatically.
3. Refresh the Microsoft 365 license in the apps
   • Windows:
     1. Open Word, Excel, or PowerPoint.
     2. Go to File > Account.
     3. Select Update License.
     4. Close all Microsoft 365 apps and reopen them.
   • Mac:
     1. In Word/Excel/PowerPoint, select the app name menu (for example, Word at the top of the screen).
     2. Select About <app name>.
     3. Select More Info….
     4. Select Refresh License.
     5. Close all Microsoft 365 apps and reopen them.
4. Check privacy settings that control Copilot visibility
   • Windows:
     1. Open Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
     2. Go to File > Account.
     3. Under Account Privacy, select Manage Settings.
     4. Ensure Experiences that analyze your content is turned On.
     5. Scroll down and ensure All connected experiences is turned On.
   • Mac:
     1. Open Word.
     2. Go to Word > Preferences > Privacy.
     3. Turn On Experiences that analyze your content.
     4. Scroll down and turn On All connected experiences.
5. Check the update channel (business users on Windows)
   • Copilot features are not available on the Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel.
   • To check:
     1. Open Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
     2. Go to File > Account.
     3. In Product Information, see which update channel is listed.
   • If it shows Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel, contact the organization’s IT admin/help desk to move the device to Current Channel or Monthly Enterprise Channel. Until then, Copilot is available in the web apps at Microsoft365.com.
6. If Copilot is still missing or disabled
   • Follow the consolidated troubleshooting steps in How to find and enable missing Copilot button in Microsoft 365 apps.
   • If the button remains missing or greyed out after all steps above, an admin should verify:
     • A Copilot-supported license is assigned.
     • Copilot is not blocked by organizational policies.

Once these requirements are met and licenses refreshed, the Copilot button should appear on the Home tab in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, in addition to any specialized experiences like Copilot for Finance.
