Outlook will not open on my MacBook Pro. The icon bounces once, then that's it.

It did open and function fine at one time, was having issues with a work email migration, so I deleted the app (using Clean My Mac). After reinstalling, it doesnt open anymore. I've since deleted and reinstalled many times, still nothing. (other Microsoft Office programs do work)

Hi @Troy Connor

Thank you for reaching out.

Based on your description, the issue may be caused by a corrupted local profile, cache, or leftover files. To troubleshoot it, you could try to follow these steps:

Close all your Microsoft Office applications completely.

Reset Outlook containers and preferences:

Open Finder. Press Command + Shift + G and go to: ~/Library/Containers/ > Move the entire folder com.microsoft.Outlook to the Trash (or Desktop as backup).

Then, go back and press Command + Shift + G again, then go to: ~/Library/Group Containers/ > Move these folders to the Trash (or Desktop): UBF8T346G9.Office and UBF8T346G9.ms

Clear preference files:

Press Command + Shift + G and go to: ~/Library/Preferences/

Find and move these files to the Trash (or Desktop): com.microsoft.Outlook.plist

Any other files starting with com.microsoft.Office* or com.microsoft.Outlook*

Empty the Trash, then restart your Mac.

If the issue persists, try holding Shift while opening Outlook to start it in safe mode.

You could give it a try and let me know if this helps.

Please understand that our initial reply may not always immediately resolve the issue. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.
