Outlook for Mac Version 16.110 When I "Reply To"—the Sender's BODY of Email is Not Visible

Since 17th June, whenever I "reply to" or "reply to all" in Outlook for Mac, I no longer see the body of the sender's email in my reply. I reported this issue on 17th June and via the Contact Support through the Outlook App on my Macbook and was advised that this is a known issue:

"this behavior has been identified as a bug. A report has already been filed with the Product Engineering team, and the issue is currently under investigation. We understand the severity of this issue and the need for a timely resolution. However, as this requires thorough testing and a fix to be deployed, we do not have an estimated timeline (ETA) at this time. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused".

It would be helpful for others to report this issue (if you have the same issue) and also provide the Support Team with an Incident ID.

To collect the Incident ID, follow these steps:

Click on Help in the top menu bar in Outlook, then Select "Collect Diagnostics". Copy and paste that Incident ID number into your Support chat for the Support team.

Have the same issue but just in the classic Outlook of Version 16.110 on my Mac. When I change to the newer design, the reply shows the email history, but then I have other issues (like mixed-up emails between accounts). What a nightmare ...

I hear you, Michael-yes, I use the Classic version too and prefer it. MS are aware of the issue, but the more people who submit an issue via the Contact Support (in Outlook) the better! Let's hope they fix it soon:).

I don't have a "Collect Diagnostics" dropdown in my Help menu. Does anyone know another way to report this? Also from what I can see there are not any updates...

And, as Marla suggested, submit a Problem Report so Microsoft knows how many people this is impacting. Every Report moves the issue one notch higher on the fix list.

Thanks, Hornblower. I have checked out the recommendations for a workaround and I'm not keen on rolling back to a previous version, but I have been manually copying and pasting the original content of sender's email before replying to it. It's not ideal as others have said, but it will do for now. Based on your experience, do you happen to know how long it might be before MS roll out an update to fix this issue?

My Outlook Classic now seems to be working in that when I hit reply, I do see the body of the sender's email-has anyone else noticed this fix?

I don't know if I do have the latest version, as per your message @Hornblower409 (I'm at work and can't check right now)-all I know is that when I opened Outlook this morning, the issue was resolved. I'll double check later whether my version has been updated. Update: this is the version it says I am using:

I have not received an update and my Microsoft Office installer says that all apps are up to date. Is there a way to "force" an update of the new version?

In Outlook for Mac if you do Help -> Check for Updates, does it show something like this?

@Hornblower409 Where do you see Current Channel? I don't see any option to view this in my Outlook settings, but as I mentioned above-my Outlook is now working.
Oh-I can see it's in the MS Auto Update App....OK-somehow my Outlook is now working fine.
