A powerful, cloud-based language translation tool developed by Microsoft.
Hi @Dan0mac
I tried to reproduce this issue on my end, and I can see the same behavior. It appears to happen only with certain language combinations, especially when the app shows two microphone icons. In those scenarios, the app may return the “Cannot translate speech. Please check your network connection” error even though the device connectivity is working normally.
Could you please try switching to a different language pair and check whether the issue still occurs? This can help confirm whether it is limited to specific speech-supported languages rather than a general network issue.
For additional guidance, Microsoft Translator has its own official support site: Help - Microsoft Translator
If you are unable to find the information you need, you can contact the Microsoft Translator team directly via email: mtfb@microsoft.com
If you are using a business or enterprise setup (e.g., Azure-based usage), you may also:
- Raise a support ticket via the Azure portal, or
- Contact your admin to submit a support request on your behalf
Reference: How to create an Azure support request - Azure portal | Microsoft Learn
When reaching out, it can be helpful to attach the .zip log file collected from the app (preferably when you tried to reproduce the issue), similar to the example shown below, so the support team can investigate further.
I hope this information is helpful.
