Unable to remove watermark

I cannot remove the watermark on a 5 page document I created. I was able to remove watermark from 1st page but not the remaining pages. I tried double clicking in the white space at top of page but there was nothing that said "header--section2."

When you go to Design > Watermark > Remove Watermark, does nothing happen on the remaining pages?

Watermarks in Word are stored in headers, and each section in the document can have its own header. Removing the watermark from one section (for example, the first page) does not remove it from other sections if their headers are different.

To remove the watermark from all remaining pages:

    The document may contain multiple headers/footers even if there are no section breaks. This occurs if you have selected "Different first page" and/or "Different odd & even pages" on the Header & Footer tab of the ribbon. Maybe the watermark is anchored to some other header than the first one? See the screen shot below.
