Azure Tenant Blocked AADSTS5000225 - Cannot Login or Submit Support Ticket - Azure for Students

My Azure tenant has been blocked/deauthenticated due to inactivity

(AADSTS5000225). I cannot login to submit a support ticket.

Error Code: AADSTS5000225

Tenant: Default Directory

Tenant ID: <pii removed>

Timestamp: 2026-06-16 03:43:38Z

I have tried:

Direct portal login
Incognito mode
Tenant-specific URL (portal.azure.com/[tenantID])

All failed with the same error.

This account has Azure for Students subscription verified via

GitHub Student Developer Pack. Please assist — I cannot afford

to lose this verification. Happy to provide more details via

The error message you encountered indicates that your tenant has been inactive for over 200 days past the billing cycle, triggering Microsoft’s effort to remove inactive tenants. When a tenant remains inactive for this period, the OMS commerce system imposes a login block (AADSTS5000225). Twenty days after the login block is applied, the tenant is permanently deleted.

Tenant inaccessible due to inactivity

If you plan to unblock your inactive tenant, it’s essential that it has been blocked for less than 20 days. After the 20-day period, the tenant is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
