The error when submitting the exam scheduling form is commonly caused by an issue with the Pearson VUE account, often after one or more failed payment attempts. In these cases, Pearson VUE may place a block on the account, which results in an “unexpected error” when trying to schedule.
To resolve this:
- Contact Pearson VUE support so they can check and, if needed, unlock the account:
- Use the Pearson VUE contact options listed on the Microsoft Certification support pages, for example via the Microsoft Certification Support / Pearson VUE links.
- If the problem persists or is not clearly related to a payment failure, open a ticket with Microsoft Certification Support so they can verify the certification profile and routing to Pearson VUE.
Multiple similar cases were resolved only after Pearson VUE support manually removed the block on the account.
