How do i connect the keyboard with swindows urface

To connect a wireless Surface keyboard to a Windows Surface device, use Bluetooth pairing.

1. Turn on the keyboard
   • If it uses batteries, remove the battery pull tab or insert batteries so it powers on.
2. Put the keyboard in pairing mode
   • Surface Keyboard (2nd Edition): Press and hold the pair/Bluetooth button on the side of the keyboard until the LED above the Up arrow key starts flashing (about 3 seconds).
   • If using a Surface Keyboard that came with Surface Studio 2+: Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the left side of the keyboard kickstand for about 5 seconds, until the LED above the Up arrow key flashes white.
3. Open Bluetooth settings on the Surface
   • On Windows 11: Select Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Add device > Bluetooth.
4. Select the keyboard
   • Choose Surface Keyboard or Surface Keyboard 2nd Edition from the list.
5. Enter the PIN if prompted
   • Type the PIN shown on the Surface screen using the keyboard, then press Enter.
   • Wait until setup completes and the LED on the keyboard stops flashing.

After pairing, the keyboard will reconnect automatically when it is turned on and Bluetooth is enabled on the Surface.
