i have 4 email accounts now that the emails aren't being received. I only know about these 4 because they have asked me if I have received the email from a different account, or different method of communication. There may be other emails i haven't received that i dont know about.

    Hi Iona Hall,

I understand your concern. When emails from only some senders do not arrive, it is important to first confirm whether the messages are missing from the mailbox itself or only from Outlook for Mac.

Please note that this is a user-to-user forum, so contributors cannot access your mailbox or check mail delivery from the server side. However, you can try these checks first:

    1. Sign in to the same email account through webmail, for example Outlook.com if it is a Microsoft account, and check whether the missing messages appear there. If they appear on webmail but not in Outlook for Mac, the issue is likely related to Outlook sync.
    2. Check these folders in webmail and Outlook for Mac: Inbox, Junk Email, Deleted Items, Archive, and Other if Focused Inbox is enabled. Outlook may move messages from specific senders to Junk if they are filtered.
    3. Review blocked senders and safe senders. In Outlook on the web or new Outlook, go to Settings > Mail > Junk email, then make sure those senders or their domains are not listed under blocked senders. You can also add trusted senders to Safe senders and domains.
    4. Check whether any mail rules are moving or deleting messages. In Outlook on the web, go to Settings > Mail > Rules and remove or disable any rule you do not recognize.
    5. In Outlook for Mac, make sure Outlook is online. On the Outlook menu, confirm that Work Offline is not selected. Also check Tools > Accounts to see whether the affected account shows any connection issue.

If the messages do not appear in webmail either, the sender may need to confirm whether the message was returned to them with a non-delivery message, or whether their mail provider is blocking or delaying delivery.

Could you also confirm whether the affected accounts are Outlook.com/Hotmail accounts or third-party accounts such as Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud, or another provider? This will help narrow down where the filtering may be happening.

Note: Please follow the steps in our documentation to enable e-mail notifications if you want to receive the related email notification for this thread.
