Need to install microsoft 365 on others laptops

Microsoft 365 can be installed on all devices, but the subscription can only be signed in on five devices at the same time. To install it on additional laptops, use the same subscription account on each device.

Follow these steps on each of the 4 other laptops (PC or Mac):

1. On the laptop, open a browser and go to https://www.office.com.
2. Select Sign in and sign in with the same Microsoft account that was used to purchase/activate the Microsoft 365 subscription.
3. After signing in, select Apps (or Install apps depending on the page layout).
4. Select Install apps > the Microsoft 365/Office option shown. This downloads the installer.
5. Run the downloaded installer and complete the setup wizard.
6. When any Office app (Word, Excel, etc.) is opened for the first time, sign in with the same Microsoft account to activate it.

Key points:

• A Microsoft 365 Family or similar consumer subscription allows installation on all devices, but only 5 can be signed in at once. If more than 5 are signed in, one of the earlier devices will be signed out automatically; just sign back in on that device when needed.
• For Mac devices, after download, open Finder > Downloads, double‑click the Microsoft Office installer.pkg, and follow the on‑screen steps to complete installation.

If the subscription is a one‑time purchase (for example Office Home & Business, Office Home & Student, or Office Professional), it can only be installed on one computer and cannot be shared across multiple users/devices except when transferring because of hardware failure or a new computer.
