I can see a credit of $35,665 in my account, but I am unable to apply it to any booking or transaction. Could someone please advise how this credit can be used or if there is an issue with my account?

Thank you.

The $35,665 shown in the screenshot is Azure startup credit that must first be activated and then is consumed automatically against eligible Azure usage on the associated billing profile. It is not a manual “voucher” that can be applied to individual bookings or transactions.

    To use it:

    1. Activate the Azure credits offer
      • Use the Activate Azure button shown in the startup portal banner.
      • Activation associates the credits with a billing account and billing profile under a Microsoft Customer Agreement.
    2. Verify that the credits are available on the correct billing profile
      • Sign in to the Azure portal.
      • Search for Cost Management + Billing.
      • In Billing scopes, select the billing account of type Microsoft Customer Agreement that is linked to the startup offer.
      • Go to Billing > Payment methods > Azure credits.
      • Confirm that an Available balance is shown and that the credits are Active in Credit details.
    3. Use Azure services under that billing scope
      • Create or move subscriptions that should use the credits under the same billing account/billing profile.
      • As usage is incurred, the invoice for that billing profile is generated monthly and the credits are automatically applied to the charges. The remaining amount, if any, is then paid via your configured payment method.
    4. If the credit does not appear or cannot be used
      • Ensure the correct billing scope is selected; if Azure credits do not appear, either there are no active credits on that scope or the wrong billing account/profile is selected.
      • New credits can take up to 24 hours after activation to appear in the Azure portal.
      • If the credits still do not show under Azure credits for any billing profile, contact Azure billing support so they can check the startup offer linkage and billing profile assignment.
