Startups: Companies that are in their initial stages of business and typically developing a business model and seeking financing.
This issue cannot be fixed from the client side and requires Microsoft for Startups Program Support to investigate and correct the account provisioning / identity linkage for the startup profile.
Because the sign-in completes but returns to portal.startups.microsoft.com/login, and LinkedIn verification reports "No user found" or BadRequest (Conflict), the startup account is not being created or linked correctly. In this situation, the supported path is to open a Microsoft for Startups support ticket so the program team can:
- Validate which Microsoft account (MSA) is associated with the startup application
- Check for conflicting or partial Founders Hub / Microsoft for Startups records
- Correct the entitlement and identity linkage so the account can access the program experience (Azure Portal or Startups Portal, depending on join date)
Follow these steps:
- Go to the Microsoft for Startups Portal support entry point: https://portal.startups.microsoft.com/login
- If sign-in succeeds but loops, use a different browser or an InPrivate/Incognito window to ensure cookies are clean, then sign in again.
- Once signed in successfully in any way, select the "?" icon in the top-right corner.
- Select "Submit a Support Ticket".
- In the ticket, include:
- The exact Microsoft account(s) being used to sign in
- The LinkedIn account used for verification
- The error messages observed, including
"No user found. Please sign up or try a different LinkedIn account."and{"error":{"code":"BadRequest","message":"BadRequest (Conflict)"}} - A description that the portal redirects back to
/logininstead of loading the dashboard
- Attach screenshots of the login loop and LinkedIn error to help the support team identify the provisioning conflict.
If unsure which MSA was used to activate or attempt to activate credits, note that in the ticket; Microsoft for Startups Support can help identify the correct account and, if needed, process an entitlement transfer so the right account owns the startup credits.
Once the program support team resolves the provisioning and entitlement linkage, the startup should be able to:
- Access the Microsoft for Startups experience (Azure Portal for post–May 29, 2026 joins, or Startups Portal for earlier joins)
- Activate and manage the $1,000 starter credits and subsequent Startup credits from the appropriate portal experience
